Phoenix’s journey of poetry

All my life I have written poetry. Many have encouraged me to put a book together. So, I have put my soul into creating this book. A collection of poetry, a glimpse into my soul. This is the good, the bad, and the ugly. This book is very personal and tells my story of true events that take place in my persona in a poetry format. My desire to put the book together came from so many people coming and telling me that my story and poetry has the power to influence and inspire other brown girls like myself that may be dealing with similar situation. My poetry speaks for it’s self. This book is dedicated to all the brown girls that feel like their pain isn’t being heard. This book is my journey and expressing to them that I hear your baby girl it’s screams loud to me like noise.
