The Lynch Rope Lives

A poetic look at the modern day lynching of BLACK America, from the highly publicized shooting of an unarmed black Florida teenager to the unspoken daily struggles of black folk post civil rights era. A chastisement of the establishment, “the man” and of black folk themselves. Written as a plaintive plea for justice as well as a call to action. An indictment of all our failures in the midst of a so called post racial America and it’s election of the first “black” President. Poems intended to burden a readers heart with the unfair reality of a harsh existence in hopes that it will enlighten the mind to the concept we all are one people and hope is in our hands.
